DIFFUN, Quirino (PIA)- – The Didipio Mine recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for the fourth Community Development Fund (CDF) project in this municipality under the mining firm’s 2023 project cycle.
The said project is a six-meter-wide farm-to-market (FMR) road in Barangay Dumanisi is expected to benefit the community members especially in bringing their agricultural products to the market and in going to and from other barangay sites.
Mayor May G. Calaunan and Barangay Captain Alex T. Dela Cruz took turns in expressing their gratitude to the Didipio Mine for the project saying that this is a big boost to the farming industry of the barangay.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held during the I Love Quirino “Pinasayang” Caravan in the said barangay.
It was attended by Governor Dax Cua, Vice Governor Jojo Vaquilar, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 2 Director Mario Ancheta, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Kris-Ian dela Cruz, Mayor May Calauanan, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, other officials and the CDF technical working group of the Didipio Mine.
Earlier, the Didipio Mine also broke ground for the school building to be constructed at Barangay Macate and the ₱3 million worth FMR project in Purok 2 of Barangay Don Mariano Perez in Diffun town. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
